To stop derivation of some formats:

The file should be titled IDENTIFIER_rules.conf

Hi aibek,

Thanks for the response. I'm aware of the rules.conf file but unfortunately it isn't what I need, I was hoping to stop one file that I upload from deriving at all, not just stopping a certain file type from deriving. That is, I have two files, one a mt2s file from my video camera shot in night vision in a greenish haze and another where I re-encode the file myself with a black and white filter in a mp4 container. I upload the mt2s for posterity's sake and don't need any derivatives to be made from it.

Thank you again!

Try this:

Give the mt2s and mp4 different names, so that different derivation rules can apply on those two. (Say, video_orig.mt2s and video.mp4)

Upload video_orig_rules.conf with the text CAT.ALL in it.

This is supposed to work as per the help page:

[QUOTE:]
To prohibit *all* derived formats, you would upload "_rules.conf" containing the following:
CAT.ALL
